Southeastern Set for Arkansas Road Swing

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will pack its bags for a tour of South Arkansas, hitting the road for a Friday-Saturday road swing against Southern Arkansas and Arkansas-Monticello in Great American Conference play.
 
The Savage Storm opens the weekend with a 6 p.m. matchup on Oct. 12 with Southern Arkansas, followed by an 11 am Saturday morning meeting with Arkansas Monticello on Oct. 13.
 
SE comes into the weekend with a 2-18 record and will be looking to snap a nine-game losing skid, three of which were GAC opponents.
 
The Storm offense is led by Emily Gentle's 2.88 kills per set, while Megan Kunkel is hot on her heels at 2.82 kps.
 
Madelynne Cera and Marina Dias have been splitting the setting duties, with Cera averaging 5.52 assists per set, while Dias chipped in 14 in SE's last match.
 
Dias is also contributing 2.34 digs per set while Cera is adding 2.24 dps.  Cera is also playing at the net on defense to the tune of 21 blocks as well as on offense where she is averaging 1.09 kps.
 
Taylor Benner's 3.76 digs per set leads the defense along the back row, while Natasha Smith has paced the net defense with 46 blocks on the year while Jasmine Everage is right behind at 46.
 
The Muleriders come into the weekend with a 14-4 overall record and a 5-0 mark in league play.
 
They are led by Denise DeVine who is posting 3.09 kills per set, while three others average more than two.
 
Klaire Blasco Vine handles the setting duties and is dishing out 9.97 assists per set, while Lauren Woods leads the way in digs with 4.54 dps and Cambria Martin leads in blocks with 35 on the year.
 
The Cotton Blossoms enter the weekend contest with a 6-15 mark overall and a 2-4 GAC record and have lost five in-a-row.
 
Amy Kleypas leads the team's offense with 3.13 kps, while Jaclyn Trinque is dishing out 4.36 assists per set.
 
Defensively, Amy Beardsley leads the way with 4.77 digs per set while Holly Schweigert paces the squad in blocks with 39 on the year.
