SE Men Cruise past Bison, 7-2

SHAWNEE, Okla. – Southeastern's men's tennis team jumped out to a strong start in doubles and cruised to a 7-2 win on Tuesday afternoon over Oklahoma Baptist in Shawnee, Okla.
 
The win moves the Savage Storm to 2-0 in the fall in the final event before the team gets started on preparing for the spring championship season.
 
In doubles play, Luka Radulovic and Martin Bedecarratz pulled away for an 8-5 win, while Laercio Lobo and Laurent Veith faced a stiffer challenge at No. 2 but ultimately pulled out the 9-8 win with a 14-12 decision in the tiebreaker.
 
Billy Haugen and Phillip Pavlovic ha the easiest time in their doubles matchup picking up an 8-2 win at No. 3.
 
Veith picked up SE's highest win, winning 6-4, 6-3 at No. 2 position, while Radulovic struggled with a 6-4, 6-4 loss at No. 1 and Lobo was handed a 6-2, 7-6 loss at No. 3.
 
The bottom half of the lineup, however, was tough as nails, with Bedecarratz cruising to a 6-0, 6-4 win at No. 4 to clinch an SE win and take a 5-2 lead.
 
Haugen continued to build on that lead with a 6-2, 7-5 win at No. 5 and Renato Joao fashioned the 7-2 final score with a back-and-forth 5-7, 6-1, 10-5 win at No. 6.
