Box Score SEARCY, Ark. – Southeastern's 2012 season came to an end on Thursday night in the first round of the Great American conference tournament with a 3-0 loss to top-seeded and host Harding in Searcy, Ark.
The Savage Storm struggled out of the gate with a 25-4 loss in the first set, but challenged the Bosons in the second set only to fall 25-20. The Storm could not carry any momentum over to the final set, falling 25-9.
SE will finish the season at 5-28 and end the year on a four-game losing skid.
The Storm offense struggled on the day with
Emily Gentle pacing the club with six kills, while
Madelynne Cera and
Natasha Smith each turned in three kills.
Cera chipped in seven assists and added 12 digs in the effort.
Megan Kunkel led the defense with 13 digs on the day, while Gentle added 11.
Jasmine Everage led the defense at the net with four blocks, while Kunkel and Gentle each added two.
