Box Score 2 JOPLIN, Mo. – Southeastern had an early morning start on Saturday and it did not bode well for the Savage Storm as they suffered a 3-0 loss to Emporia State before closing out the MSSU Tournament with a 3-0 loss to No. 13 Washburn in Joplin, Mo.

The losses drop SE to 8-10 overall on the year heading into an Oct. 15 matchup with Central Oklahoma at 7 p.m. in Edmond before opening a three-match Great American Conference home stand on Oct. 18 against Southern Arkansas.

SE fell 25-17, 25-19, 25-17 in the day's opener against the Hornets and
Emily Gentle continued to lead the Storm offense with 11 kills.

Madelynne Cera turned in 20 assists along with four kills and nine digs.

Gentle completed a double-double with a team-best 12 digs, while
Courtney Miller added 10.

Julia Benford turned in a match-high six blocks, while
Caitlyn Mills and Cera chipped in three each.

In the finale against the nationally-ranked Lady Blues SE fell 25-9, 25-14 and 25-20.

Gentle again led the way with 10 kills to lead the Storm offense.

Cera dished out 13 assists and added four kills and two digs.

Miller led the back row defense with 12 digs, while Mills had two blocks.
