Volleyball Faces Final Non-Conference Foe

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will be looking to stretch its winning streak to four matches when it takes one final step out of conference play to take on Texas Woman's at 7 p.m. on Nov. 12 in Denton, Texas.
 
The Savage Storm lifted its record to 13-15 overall and 7-6 in Great American Conference play when it downed Henderson State 3-0 in the home finale this past Saturday.
 
That win was on the heels of a 3-0 victory over the league's number two team Southern Nazarene and a 3-1 victory over Northwestern Oklahoma State.
 
Megan Kunkel turned in a match-high 13 kills in the senior day victory on Saturday, while Courtney Miller led the way on defense with 15 digs and Julia Benford added four blocks.
 
Emily Gentle continues to pace the SE offense as she has all season to the tune of 3.54 kills per set, while Kunkel is adding 2.50 and four others are averaging at least one kill per set.
 
Madelynne Cera is one of those averaging more than one kps, while triggering the offense with 8.28 assists per set on the year.  She also chips in on the defensive side of the ball with 2.14 digs per set and 31 total blocks.
 
Taylor Benner's 3.59 digs per set lead the team, while five others are averaging more than two digs per set.
 
At the net, Ariel Sanders has posted a total of 67 blocks on the year, while Gentle and Benford have added 54 and 53, respectively.
 
TWU comes into the matchup at 18-8 on the season and in the midst of a four-match wining streak.
 
They are led by a foursome of players who are averaging more than two kills per set, with Josie Santos pacing that group with 2.39 per set.
 
Kayla Rivero and Kimberly Bell have shared the setting duties, combining for 10.59 assists per set.
 
Morgan Wilson has handled their back row defense with 4.53 digs per set, while Marcela Alves leads the team at the net with 120 blocks, while Chloe' Tate has 103.
