Box Score DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern celebrated senior day in style by posting a 3-0 sweep of Henderson State on Saturday afternoon in Bloomer Sullivan Gymnasium.

Marina Dias and
Kristin Martin played in their final home contests and helped the Savage Storm improve to 13-15 overall on the year and 7-6 in Great American Conference play.

Megan Kunkel led all attackers in the match on offense with 13 kills, while
Madelynne Cera added seven kills while
Courtney Miller,
Ariel Sanders and
Emily Gentle chipped in six kills each. Kunkel also turned in six service aces in the match,

Cera hit .429 on the attack and dished out 25 assists to guide the offense, while adding three total blocks.
Â
Defensively, Miller turned in a match-high 15 digs to pace the defense, while seniors Benner and Martin each added 11 digs in the winning effort.

The Storm picked up nine team blocks, with
Julia Benford leading the way with four, including a pair of solos, while
Ariel Sanders and Cera each added three.

The first set was even right out of the gate, but SE broke a 5-5 tie with eight straight points with Kunkel on serve that included three aces. SE would pull ahead by as many as 10 points before settling on a 25-20 win in the set.

The second set was back-and-forth as well before a five-point run put SE in control at 15-9. The teams would trade points before the Storm closed out the set on a 7-1 run to finish the set with a 25-15 win.

The third set saw Southeastern in an early hole, but a 9-2 run turned a 7-4 deficit into a 13-9 lead for the Storm who would then close out the set on a 10-1 run to take the clinching set 25-15.
