SE Men Welcome UAFS

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern men's tennis will be looking for back-to-back wins when it welcomes Arkansas-Fort  Smith to the Southeastern Tennis Complex for a 1 p.m. match on Feb. 22.

Southeastern enters the meeting ranked No. 47 in the nation, but are looking to continue to recover from a tough stretch that snapped a three-game winning streak and dropped SE to .500 on the year.

That recovery began with a 9-0 win over Austin College on Feb. 19 and SE will look to continue that trend on Friday.

In its last outing, the Storm swept the Roos led by dominating performances at all six singles spots and all three doubles.

SE dominated the Roos from top to bottom, beginning in doubles where Luka Radulovic and Martin Bedcarratz opened with an 8-1 win at No. 1, that was followed by an 8-3 win at No. 2 by Tiago Ferrieria and Filip Pavlovic as well as an 8-0 win by Laercio Lobo and Billy Haugen at No. 3.

Southeastern pulled away in singles play, posting straight set wins in all six positions, dropping just one game in the entire singles matchup.

Raduloviuc posted a win at No. 1, followed by Pavlovic at No. 2.

Bedcarratz was the only player to even drop a game, winning 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3, while Lobo, Ferrieria and Haugen rounded out the six with 6-0, 6-0 wins.

UAFS enters the weekend meeting at 2-4 on the season and have dropped back-to-back matchups, the last coming against No. 19 Cameron.
