BENTONVILLE, Ark. – Southeastern men's tennis fell victim to an upset on Friday afternoon, falling to East Central by a 5-2 score in the semifinals of the Great American Conference tournament in Bentonville, Ark.
The loss drops the Savage Storm to 13-10 on the season overall and will now await their fate in regards to a berth in the Central region tournament.
SE got on the board first with a win at No. 1 doubles as
Luka Radulovic and Tiago Ferriera picked up an 8-3 win.
The Storm, however, were unable to pull out the lead after doubles with ECU picking up wins at Nos. 2 and 3.
Radulovic would even the score at 2-2 with a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 1, but the Tigers would spoil the Storm's title hopes by winning in straight sets at No. 2, 4 and 5 to hand SE a 5-2 loss.
