DURANT, Okla. – No. 40 Southeastern's men's tennis kept its record perfect and opened the spring with a dominating 9-0 win over Austin College on Tuesday evening at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.

The win moved the team to 3-0 on the year overall heading into a Feb. 24 matchup with Oklahoma Baptist in Shawnee at 3 p.m.

The duo of
Tiago Ferreira and
Alberto Blesa turned in an 8-2 win at number one doubles to open the match.

At number two it was the pair of Petar Popavic and
Billy Haugen who posted the same 8-2 winning margin.

At number three the team of Martin Bedcarratz and
Renato Joao faced a little more competition, but still picked up an 8-4 win.

In singles play, Blesa carried his momentum over top pick up a 6-1, 6-1 win in the top spot.

Ferreira was even more efficient at number two, picking up a 6-0, 6-0 win to clinch the match victory.

Bedcarratz continued the run at number three with a 6-2, 6-1 win, while Popavic was on his heels with a 6-2, 6-0 win at number four.

Chris Carillo picked up the victory at number five with a 6-2, 6-0 win, while Joaquin Aquilera completed the 9-0 sweep with a cruising 6-1, 6-0 win at number six.
