Box Score DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern closed out the South Central Classic on a high note by posting a 3-0 victory over Missouri Western State on Saturday afternoon in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.

The win lofted the Savage Storm to 4-5 on the year heading into a non-conference matchup against Cameron at 7 p.m. on Sept. 16 in Lawton, Okla.

Megan Kunkel turned in a double-double effort with 13 kills and 15 digs to pace the SE to the victory.

Offensively she hit .400 and added four service aces, while on defense she led the team with 15 digs and added a block to the mix.

On offense,
Ariel Sanders added eight kills and
Emily Gentle chipped in seven as the team hit .333 for the match.

Madelynne Cera and
Alissa Benson continued to split the setting duties well with Cera dishing out 19 assist and Benson adding 16.

Courtney Miller added seven digs on defense, while at the net Gentle and
Julia Benford each had two blocks.

SE scored the first four points of the match and eventually rolled out to an 8-3 lead.

That lead would grow as high as eight points before the final closed to 25-18.

Set two was back-and-forth early before SE opened up a lead which eventually grew to 24-18 before MSSU score three straight point to close the gap, but SE would hold for the 25-21 win.

IN the third set, Southeastern used a pair of four-point runs and a five point run to open a lead an pull away for the 25-16 win in the clinching set.
