DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern volleyball will take another midweek step out of conference play when it makes the short trip south to Dallas, Texas, to take on Dallas Baptist at 7 p.m. on Sept. 30.
The Savage Storm come into the contest with a 7-7 overall mark and are coming off a road sweep of Southern Arkansas and Arkansas-Monticello.
The Patriots enter Tuesday at 4-6 overall and have dropped its last two contests to Lubbock Christian and St. Edward's.
Southeastern is paced on offense by
Emily Gentle who is averaging 3.02 kills per set, while
Megan Kunkel is at 2.77 kps and
Julia Benford is adding 2.21.
Alissa Benson has led that offensive attack with 8.06 assists per set and has added 1.66 digs per set and 20 total blocks.
Defensively Southeastern is led on the back row by
Kelsey Zerkel at 3.87 digs per set, while Kunkel is at 3.12, while Miller and Gentle are each averaging more than two per set.
At the net a trio of SE players have handle the bulk of the blocking, with
Ariel Sanders posting 36 stops, Gentle turning in 35 on the year and Benford pitching in 34.
DBU is averaging 12.9kills per set on offense, but is allowing its opponents to average 14.4 kps.
The Patriots are dishing out 12.2 assist per set and have averaged 1.2 aces per set.
The DBU defense is picking up 19.0 digs per set, while they own a blocking advantage with 64.0 total blocks, a 10.5 block lead over its opponents.
