Box Score 2 ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Southeastern wrapped up its opening weekend of competition with another split on Saturday, downing McMurry 3-0 before dropping a tough match to Central Oklahoma, 3-1, at the Lady Reddie College Classic in Arkadelphia, Ark.

The split moves the Savage Storm to 2-2 on the year heading into the Great American Conference opener on Sept. 9 at 7 p.m. in Bloomer Sullivan Gymnasium.

In the morning opener against McMurry saw Ariel Sandersd turn in her best offensive outing of the weekend with 11 kills while hitting .625 while
Emily Gentle added 11 kills of her own while hitting .409.

The Storm committed just nine errors on the attack and hit .391 as a team.

Megan Kunkel and
Julia Benford each added eight kills.
Â
Alissa Benson continued her strong debut weekend at setter with 37 assists with seven digs.
Â
Kunkel led the back row defense with eight digs, while Gentle and Benford each had two blocks.

SE opened the match with a 25-178 win, followed with a 25-13 win and turned in a .516 hitting percentage as a team in the third set to finish the match with a 25-11 win to clinch the 3-0 victory.

Benford turned in 12 kills in the loss to UCO, while Gentle added another 11 kills in the effort.

Benson dished out 35 assists and added a pair of kills, seven digs and five blocks.

Sanders' six blocks led the defense at the net while
Kelsey Zerkel posted 17 digs to lead the back row effort.

The Bronchos opened with 25-19 wins in each of the first two sets, but the Storm responded and cruised to a 25-10 win in the third set. UCO would bounce back and hand SE a 25-21 loss in the fourth set for a 3-1 win.
