DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will take a step out of conference play and look to snap a three-match losing skid when it hosts Dallas Baptist at 6 p.m. on Oct. 13 in Bloomer Sullivan Gymnasium.
The Savage storm come into the contest with a 4-14 record and are coming off a five-set loss to Harding on Friday.
SE will again be looking to
Abby Jameson to lead the offense as she averages 3.67 kills per set on the season, while
Julia Benford aims to assists in the attack with 2.63 kps.
Four others are averaging at least one kill per set.
Alissa Benson has continued to lift her assist numbers, averaging 9.30 assists per set on the year, all while adding 2.03 digs per set and 33 total blocks.
Charlene Nerio leads the back row with 4.14 digs per set on the year, while Jameson is adding 2.72.
Arianna Baker and Benford are neck-and-neck in total blocks, with Baker putting up 42 on the year and Benford right behind at 41. Three others have double-digit block totals this season.
The Patriots come to town with a 10-4 record on the season and have won four in-a-row.
DBU is led on offense by Carly Hess whose 2.70 kills per set is tops amongst a foursome of players averaging two or more per set. Meanwhile, Kaycie Bird leads the setting with 5.87 assists per set, while Hannah Hester is adding 3.75.
Defensively, Lauren Nicks is picking up 4.76 digs per set, while at the net Sidnee Jo Fitzpatric leads the way with 43 blocks.
