ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Opponent scoring runs once again hurt Southeastern as Ouachita Baptist handed the Savage Storm a 3-0 loss on Saturday afternoon.

The loss drops SE to 4-17 on the year and 2-7 in Great American Conference play heading into the final trip of a three-match road swing to Texas Woman's on Oct. 20 in Denton, Texas, at 6 pm.

Abby Jameson and Julia Benford each had eight kills, while Kristina Bergman added seven and Jessica Baker chipped in six.

Bayley Cook and Alissa Benson split the setting duties with Cook dishing out 16 assists and Benson adding 13.

Charlene Nerio turned in 14 digs to lead the defense along the back row, while Benford and Arianna Baker each had three blocks.

An early 7-2 run put OBU in front in the opening set and the Storm was unable to close, falling 25-20.

In the second set it was a 9-2 mid-match run that turned a one point SE lead into a six point deficit as the Tigers would go on to take the set 25-18.

The Storm got off to a slow start in the third set, with OBU taking the first four points and jumping to a 9-2 lead. The Storm would rally to within five points late, but the Tigers would take the final set 25-17.
