ALVA, Okla. – Southeastern's road woes continued on Friday as they turned in a 3-0 loss at the hands if Northwestern Oklahoma State in Alva, Okla., the third conference loss away from home and the ninth loss on the road this season.
The loss drops the Savage Storm to 4-12 overall and 2-3 in Great American Conference play heading into a four-match home stretch beginning with Tarleton State on Oct. 6 at 6 p.m.
Julia Benford led the offense with 10 kills while
Abby Jameson turned in a negative hitting performance but still added eight kills. Kristina Bergmman was right on her heels with seven.
Alissa Benson dished out a team-high 31 assists and SE racked up 34 team kills.
Charlene Nerio's 17 digs led the defense on the day for both squads, while Benford led the way at the net with four blocks total.
SE dropped the opening set 25-19 before nearly swiping set two 27-25. But ultimately they would fall in the final set 25-20.
