DURANT, Okla. – Playing short-handed on Tuesday night, Southeastern was unable to pick up any momentum, falling 3-0 to Oklahoma Baptist in the home finale at Bloomer Sullivan Gymnasium.

The loss drops the Savage Storm to 6-22 on the year and 4-11 in Great American Conference play heading into a Nov. 12 matchup at East Central in Ada, Okla.

Despite the loss, SE got some help from Arkansas-Monticello who handed Henderson State a 3-1 loss on Tuesday which locked up the eight seed for the Storm in next week's GAC tournament where they will face top-seeded Arkansas Tech.

The SE offense struggled to get going in each set, first falling 25-16, followed by a 25-18 in set two and finally a 25-15 loss in the final set.

Julia Benford led the way as the Storm missed
Abby Jameson,
Arianna Baker and
Maggie Benson on the night, turning in a team-high 10 kills, while
Jessica Baker was right behind at nine.

Alissa Benson dished out 24 assists while adding nine digs and a kill.
Â
Defensively,
Charlene Nerio turned in 18 digs, while Benford, Baker and Costain each added seven.

At the net it was a rare night were SE was outblocked, but
Caitlyn Mills did pick up a pair of block, as did Benford.
