SAN ANTONIO, Texas  – No. 41 Southeastern kept its record spotless and added another higher-ranked win to the resume by picking up a 7-2 win over No. 39 St. Mary's followed by 9-0 wins over Laredo CC and Lady of the Lake in San Antonio, Texas.

The Savage Storm moved to 8-0 on the season and 6-0 in the spring portion of the schedule heading into its March 13 home opener against Newman at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.

SE swept doubles play against the host Rattlers, with the duo of
Alberto Blesa and
Tiago Ferreira earning a 9-7 win at one doubles and
Maxim Fil and
Jack Gibbens pulling out a 9-8 (7-4) win at number two.

Billy Haugen and
Paul Nguyen pushed the Storm out to a 3-0 lead with an 8-4 win at number three doubles.

The Rattlers looked to rally with wins at one and two singles, but Ferreira stemmed the tide and picked up a 6-4, 6-1 win at number three to make the score 4-2.

Gibbens would then clinch the match with a 6-2, 6-1 win at number four.

Petar Popovic and
Joaquin Aguilera rounded out the slate with wins at numbers five and six, respectively to set the final tally of 7-2.

SE swept the competition against Laredo CC for a 9-0 win.

Blesa and Ferreira cruised to an 8-2 win at one doubles, while Fil and Gibbens added an 8-3 win at number two and the duo of Haugen and Nguyen rounded out the doubles schedule with an 8-1 win at number three.

Fil faced the toughest match in singles play at number one, rallying for a 5-7, 6-3, 13-11 win.

Blesa clinched the match with a 6-2, 6-4 win at number two.

Ferreira added a 6-3, 6-2 win at number thee, followed by a 6-1, 7-5 win at number four by Gibbens.

Popovic pushed the lead to 8-0 with a 6-4, 6-1 win at number five and Aguilera rounded out the 9-0 sweep with a 6-1, 6-0 win at number six.
