DURANT, Okla.  – Southeastern split its weekend matchups, first staying unbeaten in Great American Conference play with a 7-2 victory over Harding before suffering a 6-3 loss to the top-ranked team in the Central region Nebraska-Kearney.

The split moves the Savage Storm to 15-3 overall and 2-0 in conference play, snapping a five-match winning streak heading into the home and GAC finale against East Central at 2 p.m. on April 15.

Against the Bisons, SE stormed to a 2-1 lead in doubles play thanks to wins at number one by
Alberto Blesa and
Tiago Ferreira and number two by
Maxim Fil and
Jack Gibbens.

The team continued into singles with Fil picking up a 6-3, 6-0 win at number one for a 4-2 lead.

Blesa would then clinch he match with a 7-6, 7-5 win at number two.

Ferreira added a 6-4, 7-5 win at number three, Gibbens a 7-6, 6-0 win at number four and Joaquin Aguillera a 6-4, 6-4 win at number six to fashion he 7-2 final.

against the Lopers the Storm found itself in rare territory after getting swept in doubles play for the first time this season.

Fil looked to start a rally with a 6-1, 6-2 win at one singles, followed by Blesa's 6-4, 6-3 win at two to close the deficit to 3-2.

UNK would answer with wins at three and four before Petar Popopvic would snag the team's final win at number five 3-6, 6-3, 6-0 to fashion he final of 6-3.
