DURANT, Okla.  – After debuting at No. 2 in the first NCAA Central Region Poll Southeastern will look to make some noise again this weekend when it hosts conference foe Harding at 10 a.m. on April 10 followed by an April 11 matchup against regionally top-ranked Nebraska-Kearney at noon, with both matches at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.

The Savage Storm are 14-2 overall and 1-0 in Great American Conference play coming into the weekend.

The team is also enjoying a four-match winning streak after downing Arkansas-Ft. Smith 7-2 on Senior Day.

In that match SE got off to a big lead by sweeping doubles play, starting with an 8-4 win by
Alberto Blesa and
Tiago Ferreira at one doubles.
Maxim Fil and
Jack Gibbens added an 8-5 win at number two and the duo of
Petar Popovic and
Paul Nguyen added an 8-5 win of their own at number three to open up a 3-0 lead.

Fil continued the momentum into singles play, taking the one position with a 4-6, 6-1, 6-0 win to make the score 4-0. UAFS would cut the lead in half though with wins at two and three, but Gibbens would put the match back on track with a 6-4, 7-5 win at number four to clinch the match. Joaquin Aguillera would add a 1-6, 6-3, 13-11 win at number five, followed by a 6-2, 4-6, 11-9 win by Haugen at number six to run the final score to 7-2.

The Bisons come to town at 10-8 on the year and 0-1 in GAC play and have dropped three in-a-row, including its conference opener against Ouachita Baptist in its last game out.

UNK comes into the match as the No. 1 team in the region with a 15-2 record, but are coming off a 5-4 loss to OBU as well in its last outing.
