DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern put three players in double-digit kills and snapped its Great American Conference opening losing streak with a dominant 3-0 win over Northwestern Oklahoma State on Saturday afternoon in Bloomer Sullivan Gymnasium.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 8-9 overall and 1-4 in league play as it wraps a three-match home stand before travelling to Arkansas Tech and Harding on Oct. 7 and 8.

Caitlin Cosby once again paced all defenders on the back row where she logged 21 digs, while Cavalcante and Erika Costain each had nine.

The Storm finished with four team blocks with Arianna Baker, Cavalcante and Benford each picking up two.

The opening set was a back-and-forth battle early and the Ranger would rally after falling behind by four points to knot the set at 20-20.  The Storm would then score five of the final seven points for a 25-22 win.

The teams traded runs early in the second set, seeing SE fall behind 8-7 before a 6-0 run opened up a 13-8 lead, while a 7-1 run to end the set would put the Storm up 2-0 in the match with a 25-15 win.
