RUSSELVILLE, Ark. – Southeastern closed the gap in each set, but suffered from costly errors in a 3-0 loss at Arkansas Tech on Friday night in Russellville, Ark.

The Savage Storm slip to 8-10 overall on the year and 1-5 in Great American Conference play heading into a Saturday afternoon matchup with Harding at 2 p.m. in Searcy, Ark.

Karine Cavalcante and Abby Jameson each turned in nine kills to lead SE offensively while Alissa Benson was next in line with four kills.

Benson also dished out 24 assists in addition to her four kills and added eight digs as well with a pair of blocks.

Caitlin Cosby and Jameson each picked up 13 digs to lead the back row defense, while Julia Benford collected four blocks at the net.

ATU used runs in the first set to pull away and hand the Storm a 25-16 loss in the opener.

SE closed the difference in the second set in a 25-19 loss, while the Storm would lead as late as 19-17 in the third set before the Golden Suns reeled off an 8-1 run to end the match with a 25-20 win in the third set.
