DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern men's tennis rallied from a 2-1 deficit in doubles against Southwest Baptist on Sunday to win 5-3 and followed that up with a clean-sweep of singles play in the conference opener against Oklahoma Baptist to win 8-1 and stay undefeated one the season.

The wins move the Savage Storm to 3-0 and will next be back on the road for a March 3-4 road swing through Texas to face Laredo CC and St. Mary's.

In the Sunday matchup at SBU, the Storm fell behind early despite
Maksim Fil and
Netanel Alcabas posting an 8-5 win at number one doubles.

Trailing 2-1 heading into singles play, Fil would even the match with a three-set win at number one, picking up the match 7-5, 5-7, 6-2.

Alcabas would add onto that and give the Storm, a 3-2 lead with a 6-4, 6-2 win at number two.

The Bearcats would get one back at three singles to knot the match at 3-3, but
Mislav Colak would regain the lead with a 6-2, 6-2 win at number five followed by a 6-3, 6-1 victory in the six spot for
Tiago Ferreira to wrap up a 5-3 win.

In the GAC opener versus OBU the Storm returned to form by jumping to a 2-1 lead in doubles play.

First, with
Alberto Blesa and Ferreira picking up an 8-5 win at number two, followed by
Petar Popovic and
Jack Gibbens adding an 8-1 win at number three.

The loss at one doubles would be the only one suffered in the match as Fil would post a 7-5, 6-4 win at one singles to kick off a six-match sweep of single play.

Alcabas and Blesa were involved in the tightest matches, each going three sets with Alcabas winning 6-3, 4-6, 6-1 at the two position while Blesa turned in a 7-5, 2-6, 6-1 win at the three position to open up a 5-1 lead and clinch the match.

Gibbens would follow at the four position with a 6-1, 6-4 win to push the dge to 6-1.

Colak would add another singles win at number five at 7-5, 6-3, as would Ferreira in the six spot in a 6-0, 6-4 fashion to fashion he 8-1 final score.
