ADA, Okla. – Southeastern men's tennis wrapped up its conference schedule with a hard-fought victory over rival East Central on Tuesday afternoon in Ada, Okla.

The win moves the Savage Storm to 12-2 on the year and 3-1 in Great American Conference play and at least a second-place finish in the regular season standings.

The team will finish out the year with an April 17 matchup with Seward County CC and an April 19 meeting with Midwestern State, both at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.

The Storm got off to a solid start, first with and 8-4 win by
Maksim Fil and
Tiago Ferreira at one doubles and then an 8-6 win by
Mislav Colak and
Petar Popovic at number three to open up a 2-1 lead after doubles.

The lead would be short lived though as the Tigers would pick up wins at one, three and four, with
Netanel Alcabas picking up a win at two to make the score 4-3 in favor of ECU with two spots to finish.

Colak would gut out a 7-6 6-2 win at number five to even the score at 4-4 heading into the number six position.

There Ferreira would rally from a 5-7 loss in the first set to take the next two sets 6-4 and 6-2 to give the Storm a 5-4 win over the Tigers.
