DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern sets out to close the season in a winning way when it hosts rival East Central at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Paul Laird Field in the 101
st meeting of the Great American Classic.

The Savage Storm come into the matchup with a 6-4 record on the season and looking to finish the year by snapping a losing skid while extending its series winning streak against the Tigers.

SE has taken the last three meetings and holds 48-46-6 record in the all-time record for a series that is the longest collegiate rivalry in the state behind only Oklahoma versus Oklahoma State.

The Storm rushing attack is led by Rashod Polk who has tallied 643 yards on the year on 122 carries and punched it in for six rushing scores.

A trio of SE quarterbacks have put together 2,242 yards through the air and 16 touchdowns, led by the 1,180 and six scores by Austin Skinner.

Jaylen Sims has led the receiving group with 40 grabs for 564 yards while adding three scores, while Codey McElroy has five touchdowns on 13 total catches.

Hunter Powell has paced the defense, turning in 19 tackles just two games prior and has lifted his total to 78 on the year and is ranked in the top-10 in the GAC in stops.

Justin Young is at 62 on the year with five tackles for loss, while
Larry Bridges has snagged four interceptions.

Joel Carlos has been one of the most effective special team weapons and has hit 15 field goals on the year and is perfect on PAT tries while averaging 38.3 yards per punt with 23 of his 53 punts going inside the opponent's 20 yard line.

ECU comes into the meeting with a 2-8 record on the season and has lost its last two outings.

The Tigers are allowing 38.0 ppg on defense as well as 203.8 yards per game rushing and 253.9 ypg passing.
