ADA, Okla – Abby Jameson piled up 18 kills and Southeastern wrapped up the Great American Conference schedule with a 3-1 victory over rival East Central on Thursday night in Ada, Okla.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 13-18 overall on the year and 8-8 in GAC play, moving them into a tie for seventh in the standings. SE will close out the regular season on Friday with a non-conference contest with Arkansas-Ft. Smith at 1 p.m. in Ft. Smith, Ark.

Jameson led all attackers with her 18 kills, while Arianna Baker chipped in double-figures with 12 kills.

Alissa Benson dished out 44 assists and added three kills on offense, while posting 19 digs and four blocks on the defensive side.

Caitlin Cosby paced the defense with 24 digs followed by Benson's 19 and Erika Costain's 12.

At the net it was Benson, Jameson, and Caroline Griffith who each tallied four blocks, with Hallie Smith turning in three.

SE fell behind early in the first set and played catch up for the entire set before ultimately falling 25-17.

ECU again jumped out in front in set two, but midway through the set the Storm used an 8-2 run to take control 21-16 and would go on to take the set 25-23 and even the match at 1-1.

Southeastern took control of the third set early and pulled away, taking the set 25-14 to go up 2-1.

An 11-2 run midway through the fourth set would put SE in control and the Storm would go on to take the set 25-20 to clinch the match 3-1.
