DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern's No.17-ranked men's tennis team opened the spring season in dominating fashion after traveling to Dallas for neutral site victories over New Mexico Military, 8-1, and Texas-Permian Basin, 9-0, over the weekend.
The wins get the Savage Storm off to a 2-0 start to the year heading into a Feb. 28 matchup against Cowley County CC at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.

SE's duo of
Alberto Blesa and
Jack Tiller took the one doubles spot against NMMI, downing their top pair 9-8.

The Storm would complete the trifecta with wins at the two and three doubles as well.

Blesa would continue his strong start with a 6-2, 6-4 win at the number one position over the No. 13-ranked JuCo player Noureldin Adam.

SE was tripped up at two singles, but clinched the victory with a 6-0, 6-0 win by
Kelian Bouteiller at number three.

Guillermo Pardos added a three set win at number four, while
Mislav Colak and
Petar Popovicrounded out the 8-1 win with victories at the number five and six positions.

Blesa and Tiller continued rolling with an 8-6 win at one doubles the next day to open play against Texas-Permian Basin.

That was followed by an 8-2 win at the two spot by Bouteiller and Netanal Alcabas, with Colak and Popovic rounding out the doubles wins with an 8-1 decision at three.

Blesa also continued to roll in singles play with a 7-6, 6-3 win at the number one spot, while Alcabas clinched the match with a 6-1, 6-0 win at number two for a 5-0 lead.

Bouteiller added a 6-1, 6-3 win at number three, with Pardos taking home the four spot 6-3, 6-1.

Colak added a 6-3, 6-0 win at number five, and Tiller rounded out the sweep with the most contentious match, winning at number six 7-6, 0-6, 10-8.
