Southeastern Stays Perfect with 6-3 Win

DURANT, Okla. – The 17^th-ranked Southeastern men's tennis team picked up s 6-3 home-opening win over the 8^th-ranked JuCo program in the country in Cowley County CC on Tuesday evening at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.
 
The win lifts the Savage Storm to 3-0 as they will be back on the road for a three-match road swing beginning on March 2 against St. Edward's in Austin, Texas.
 
SE fell at the top doubles position to the fourth-ranked duo in the JuCo ranks, but bounced back as Kelian Bouteiller and Netanel Alcabas cruised to an 8-2 win at two doubles.
 
That was followed by an 8-5 victory by Mislav Colak and Petar Popovic at three doubles which opened up a 2-1 edge.
 
Alberto Blesa bounced back in singles play and fought back from a three-set win over Guilhermo Dios Santos, 3-6, 6-4, 6-0.
 
Alcabas stretched the lead to 4-1 at two singles with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Lukas Michenka.
 
Bouteiller would clinch the match and pick up a win over a ranked opponent as he downed No. 35 Julian Aubry-Damon at three singles 7-6 (5), 6-3.
 
Colak would add a 6-0, 7-5 win at number four over James Brimacombe to take a 6-1 lead, but the Storm would drops matches at five and six to fashion the final margin of 6-3.
