Men's Tennis Set to Host NU, NWMSU

DURANT, Okla. – Looking to bounce back after suffering its first loss to a Division II opponent, No. 17 Southeastern will return home for a pair of matches March 18-19 when it hosts Newman at 2 p.m. on Saturday and No. 12 Northwest Missouri State at 1 p.m. on Sunday, both at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.
 
The Savage Storm come into the weekend with a 6-2 record on the year, but suffered their first loss against DII competition in a 5-1 neutral site loss to No. 19 Southwest Baptist.
 
Netanal Alcabas picked up the lone win in the match for the Storm in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4.
 
It was also the first time this season SE has been swept in doubles play, but it was close as the scores of the three doubles matches were 8-6, 9-7 and 8-5.
 
Kelian Bouteiller has paced the Storm on the year by consistently holding down the number three singles position and is 5-1 on the year which included a four-match winning streak to open the season.
 
In doubles play with Alcabas he is 5-2 on the year, with the pair's last loss coming to the No. 4 ranked doubles duo in the country.
 
NU comes into the weekend with a 6-4 record on the year, while NWMSU comes to town with a 4-2 record on the year.
