Men's Tennis Stays Perfect with win at SEU

AUSTIN, Texas – No. 17 Southeastern men's tennis stayed perfect on the season by toppling No. 25 St. Edward's 5-2 on Thursday afternoon in Austin, Texas.
 
The Savage Storm improve to 4-0 on the season and will be back in action as it continues its road swing against Laredo College on March 3 in San Antonio, Texas, before finishing up with St. Mary's, also in San Antonio.
 
SE jumped to a 1-0 lead on the strength of an 8-2 win by Mislav Colak and Petar Popovic at the number three position, however SEU would even the match with a win over the Storm's number one duo.
 
Netanal Alcabas and Kelian Bouteiller would send the Storm to singles play with a 2-1 lead after taking the number two doubles match 8-4.
 
The Hilltoppers would even the match with a win at number four, but Guillermo Pardos would push SE back in front for good with a 7-6 (5), 6-3 win at number six.
 
Colak extended that lead to 4-2 with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Andre Mercado at number five.
 
Bouteiller would finish off the match at number three singles by clawing out a 7-5, 6-4 win to secure the 5-2 victory.
