EDMOND, Okla. – Southeastern opened the day with a 3-1 loss to No. 13-ranked Central Oklahoma, but finished the day strong with a 3-0 victory over Pittsburg State on Thursday afternoon in the GAC/MIAA Crossover in Edmond, Okla.
 
The split moves the Savage Storm to 4-6 on the year heading into day two of the event when they travel to Bethany, Okla., for a 10 a.m. matchup with Emporia State before closing out the weekend at 4 p.m. against Missouri Southern State.
 
The Savage Storm took the opening set off 13
th-ranked UCO, downing the host team 25-19 in the first set, however the Bronchos took set two 25-11 and closed out the match 25-20 and 25-22.
 
Abby Jameson led the SE attack with 13 kills, while 
Arianna Baker chipped in 11 and 
Erika Costain finished with eight.
 
Alissa Benson dished out 33 assists to trigger the offense and added four kills along with 13 digs and three blocks.
 
Caitlin Cosby finished up with 20 digs on defense, while Jameson added 13 and 
Grace Shehadeh chipped in 12.
 
In the day's final outing the Storm downed PSU 25-20, 25-10 and 25-21 to sweep the victory.
 
Taylor Robinson led the SE attack with 14 kills while hitting .375, while Jameson added 12 kills and Baker turned in 10.
 
Benson dished out 31 assists and added eight digs.
 
Cosby again led the defense in digs with 19, while Shehadeh was right behind with 18.
