Volleyball Set for GAC Home Opener

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will look to get back in the win column when it opens the home portion of the Great American Conference schedule on Thursday night at 7 p.m. in Bloomer Sullivan Gym agains rival East Central.
 
The Savage Storm head into the contest with an 0-1 mark in league play and a 4-9 record overall after a 3-0 loss at Oklahoma Baptist.
 
In that match the SE offense was led by Abby Jameson with seven kills, while Erika Costain added five.
 
Jodi Dixon and Bayley Cook split the setting duties with Dixon dishing out 12 assists and Cook chipping in nine.
 
Caitlin Cosby led the defense with 16 digs, while Grace Shehadeh added seven.
 
Overall on the season Jameson is leading the way on the attack with 3.46 kills per set while Arianna Baker and Taylor Robinson are both averaging more than 2.0 kps.
 
Dixon is averaging 4.13 assists per set in her time handling the setting duties, while Cook is at 1.02 since stepping in.
 
Defensively, Cosby sits second in the GAC with 5.40 digs per set, while Baker leads the way at the net with 26 blocks.
 
The Tigers come to town with a 4-10 mark overall on the season and an 0-1 record in league play after a 3-2 home loss to Northwestern Oklahoma State.
 
Alex Campbell leads the offense with 2.50 kills per set, with Taylor Turner dishing out a team best 4.96 assists per set.
 
Lily Porsa leads the ECU defense with 5.02 digs per set, while Madeline Mayer has recorded 34 blocks.
