Storm Volleyball Set for UAM/SAU Road Swing

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will hit the road through southern Arkansas for a pair of key matchups, first taking on Arkansas-Monticello at 6 p.m. on Oct. 12 in Monticello, Ark., before moving to Magnolia, Ark., for a 1 p.m. matchup with Southern Arkansas.
 
The Savage Storm enter the weekend with a 6-15 record overall and a 2-7 mark in Great American Conference play which is good for ninth in the league standings, in need of moving up at least one position in the rankings by season's end to reach the conference tournament.
 
The SE offense is paced by Abby Jameson who is averaging 2.99 kills per set, while Arianna Baker is not far behind, carrying a 2.22 kps average.
 
Sydney Meget leads SE's setting duo with 6.89 assists per set while also chipping in 1.92 digs per set, while Jodi Dixon is adding 3.45 assists per set with 1.34 dps.
 
Caitlin Cosby leads the defense with 5.18 digs per set, while Jaclyn Menner and Taylor Robinson are each averaging more than two per set.
 
Hallie Smith leads the team's defense at the net with 36 blocks on the year, while Baker is right behind with 34.
 
The Cotton Blossoms come into Friday's matchup with a 2-22 record overall on the year and winless in GAC play and riding a seven-match losing streak.
 
MarKayla Dickie leads the offense for UAM with 2.40 kills per set, while Shayna Daniels hands out a team-best 5.83 assists per set.
 
Defensively, Jessica Mahan is picking up 3.44 digs per set along the back row while Laurene Cushinberry is pacing the net defense with 47 blocks.
 
SAU enters the weekend with a 7-15 record overall and a 1-9 mark in league play.
 
Rylea Brimhall leads the Mulerider offense with 2.55 kills per set, while Lexie Cruse is dishing out 5.63 assists per set.
 
Camryn Bihary leads the SAU defense with 4.60 digs per set, while Bailey Cagle has added 58 total blocks.
