ALVA, Okla. – Southeastern's offense got off to a good start, but saw its momentum wane as the match went on, eventually falling at Northwestern Oklahoma State on the back-end of a two-match road swing on Friday evening, 3-0 in Alva, Okla.

The loss drops the Savage Storm to 7-19 overall on the year and 3-11 in Great American Conference play with an Oct. 30 matchup at Oklahoma Baptist slated for 5:30 p.m. next on the schedule. The loss also eliminates SE from postseason contention.

Arianna Baker led the Storm with nine kills, while
Hallie Smith and
Abby Jameson checked in with seven apiece.

Sydney Meget dished out 29 assists on the contest and chipped in four digs.

Caitlin Cosby led all defenders on the back row with 17 digs, while Jameson paced the club at the net with three blocks.

In the opening set, SE used a 5-0 run to recover from an early deficit and knot the match at 7-7. The teams would trade runs for the entire set, with the Storm tying the match again at 23-23 before the Rangers took the final two points to win the set 25-23.

NWOSU would use a 9-1 run in the second set to pull ahead and Southeastern was unable to recover, dropping the set 25-18.

Another early run by the home team early in the third set would put the Rangers ahead for good in the final set as SE fell 25-16 in the set and 3-0 in the match.
