DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern men's tennis pushed its current winning streak to three matches with a big 8-1 victory over Oklahoma Baptist on Tuesday afternoon at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 9-6 overall on the season and 3-0 in Great American Conference play, earning them a GAC regular season Conference Championship, its third in the last five seasons.

SE swept doubles play as
Carlos Anez and Ondrij Nice picked up an 8-6 win at the one position, followed by an 8-4 victory at the two spot by
Sandro Lena and
Danrich Kruger.

The Storm moved to 3-0 with a default win in the three position by
Matias Vargas and
Milos Vuckovic.

Anez continued his momentum into singles play where he picked up a win as his opponent retired with Anez leading 6-1, 4-1 in the second set.

Nice followed suit with a 6-1, 7-5 win at the number two spot which ultimately clinched the match and made the lead 5-0.

Lena followed with a 6-4, 7-6 win at the three position to make it 6-0, but OBU would pick up a win at the four position to erase the shutout and make it 6-1.

Vargas would stretch it to 7-1 with a 7-6, 6-3 victory at the five position, while
Jeremy Despont would collect a win by default in the six spot to fashion the 8-1 final score.
