EDMOND, Okla. – Day two of the GAC/MIAA Crossover was a tough one for Southeastern as it dropped both matchups on the day, first falling 3-0 to Central Oklahoma before finishing the event with a 3-0 loss to Emporia State.

The losses drop the Savage Storm to 4-8 overall as they head into Great American Conference play on Sept. 11 at 7 p.m. when they host Oklahoma Baptist in Bloomer Sullivan Gymnasium.

Against the Bronchos,
Abby Jameson led the offense with six kills while
Arianna Baker was right behind with five.

Sydney Meget triggered the offense with 18 assists, while
Jodi Dixon turned in five.
Â
Defensively,
Caitlin Cosby turned in a match-high 19 digs to lead the back-row defense, while Baker provided four blocks at the net.

SE found the going tough versus UCO, dropping set one 25-9, before closing the gap some to 25-17 in the second and 25-21 in the third.

In the Crossover finale the Storm was led by
Caroline Griffith and
Hallie Smith who each turned in seven kills each.

Meget paced the dual setters with 12 assists, while Dixon was on her heels with 10.

Cosby finished the defensive effort with 21 digs on the back row, while
Jaclyn Menner posted four blocks, with Griffith and Smith turning in three apiece.

SE opened with a 25-19 loss in set one and followed up with a 25-18 loss in the second set with the match ending on a 25-22 loss in the third set.
