Aleksandra Rodic posted a season-high 17 kills to lead Southeastern, but the Savage Storm found itself on the short end of a 3-1 score in a Thursday night road loss at Henderson State in Arkadelphia, Ark.

SE will have the short turnaround but will not have to travel far as it will face Ouachita Baptist at 5 p.m. on Oct. 18 in Arkadelphia, Ark.

Rodic's season-high 17 kills led the Storm offense, while
Caroline Griffith reached double-figures with 11.

Hannah Grant added seven kills, while
Malaysia Burns was right behind with six.

Arabella Bouchard triggered the offense with 34 assists and added a kill and a pair of digs.

Defensively,
Caitlin Cosby led all defenders on the court with 19 digs, while
Grace Shehadeh added 10. Rodic and
Sydney Meget each turned in eight digs.

At the net, Burns posted a team-high five blocks, while Rodic added three stops.

The Storm clawed back from an early five-point deficit, using a 6-1 run to knot the match at 14-14 on a Griffith kill.

SE would keep it close, but HSU would regain the lead and take the first set 25-20.

The Reddies jumped to a 10-2 lead out of the gate in set two and the Storm was unable to recover, falling 25-10 to fall behind 2-0 in the match.

Southeastern broke through in the third set using an 8-2 run capped by a Griffith kill to take control and would pull away to win the set 25-15 by scoring four of the last five points.

HSU would come out in the fourth set on a 9-3 run to open and SE could not mount a rally, falling 25-13 in the set and dropping the match 3-1.
