DURANT, Okla. – No. 22 Southeastern opened its weekend action with a 7-0 sweep of Texas-Dallas before pulling off an upset of No. 15 Midwestern State, 4-3, at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.

The Savage Storm improve to 3-1 overall on the season heading into a stretch of six matches in six days beginning Feb. 21 against No. 10 Hawaii-Hilo in Waco, Texas.

Against the Comets SE swept its way to the doubles point with Benji Finet and
Danrich Kruger earning a 6-0 win at one doubles, followed by a 6-4 win by
Juan Scoppetta and
Manuel Pilotto at the two position.

Jason Roberts and
Milos Vuckovic rounded out the sweep with a 6-03 win at the three spot.

In singles play, No. 34 Scoppetta would pick up a 6-4, 6-2 win at the one position, while No. 9 Pilotto followed suit with a 7-5, 6-4 win at the two spot.

Kruger followed up with a 6-2, 6-2 win at three and Vuckovic added a 6-4, 6-1 win at four.

Finet kept the sweep moving at five with a 6-4, 6-3 win while Roberts ended the 7-0 victory with a 6-1, 6-4 win at six.

The following day the Storm would bounce back from a loss at one doubles with Scoppetta and Pilotto picking up a 6-4 win at two doubles followed by Roberts and Vuckovic winning the doubles point with a 6-2 win at number three.

MSU would knot the match at 1-1 before Scoppetta, this time playing at number two, picked up a 6-2, 6-4 win to regain the lead.

The Mustangs would add a win at three, but Kruger would earn a 7-5, 6-2 win at four followed by a 1-6, 6-0, 6-3 come-from-behind win by Finet to pick up the 403 upset victory.
