DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern volleyball is set to return home for Great American Conference action when it welcomes a pair of Arkansas teams to Bloomer Sullivan Gymnasium as Ouachita Baptist comes to town on Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. followed by an Oct. 16 matchup with Henderson State at 7 p.m.

The Savage Storm head into the weekend with a 6-9 record overall on the season and a 3-4 mark in GAC play, with the back-to-back matchups having a lot to say about the conference standings for all three teams involved.

SE comes in sitting seventh in the league standings, a game up on Friday's foe Ouachita Baptist which is 7-13 overall and 2-5 in conference play.

Meanwhile, the Storm trails its Saturday opponent Henderson State by a game in the standings heading into the weekend as the Reddies are 15-5 overall and 4-3 in GAC play.

Southeastern's offensive effort continues to be paced by
Skylor Lewis who ranks fourth in the conference in kills per set with 3.22, while
Caroline Griffith has come on strong offensively of late, lifting her average to 2.13 kps.

The Storm features four other players who are averaging 1.27 kps or more.

One of those players is also the team's setter
Ruthie Forson who is fourth in the GAC in assists with 8.82 per set while also adding 1.47 kills per set on offense along with 2.42 digs per set and 12 total blocks on defense.

Grace Shehadeh's 5.09 digs per set paced that defense on the back row and ranks fourth in the conference, while four players are averaging more than two digs per set.

At the net, Griffith leads the charge with 29 total blocks, while
Mya Afflerbach is right behind with 27.

OBU features a trio of attackers averaging over two kills per set, led by Kayla Steinmeyer's 2.92 kps, while Kellen Church leads the team's setters with 5.04 assists per set.

Defensively, Lexie Castillow is picking up 5.23 digs per set on the back row, with Emily Low leading the way at the net with 51 total blocks.

HSU heads into the weekend led by Violeta Mendoza Quintana who is averaging 3.22 kills per set, with Taylor Scalzi handing out a team-best 5.30 assists per set.

On defense the Reddies are led by Makenzie Thomas long the back row with 5.19 digs per set, while Kaitlyn Sykes has collected 76 total blocks at the net.
