Volleyball Set for Arkansas Road Swing

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will jump back into Great American Conference play as it hits the midway point of a five-match road swing when it travels to Arkansas to take on Harding on Oct. 22 at 6 p.m. in Searcy, Ark., followed by a noon matchup on Oct. 23 against Arkansas Tech in Russellville, Ark.
 
The Savage Storm head into the weekend with a 7-11 record overall and a 4-5 mark in GAC play while looking to shake off the sting of back-to-back five-set losses.
 
Skylor Lewis paces the offense with 3.01 kills per set, while Caroline Griffith is next up with 2.20 kps, and four others are putting up at least one kill per set.
 
One of those is Ruthie Forson who is handing out 8.86 assists per set and adding 1.52 kills on the offensive side, while posting 2.51 digs per set and 17 total blocks on defense from the setter position.
 
Grace Shehadeh leads the back row defense with 5/16 digs per set, while Lewis is adding 3.16 and three others are putting up at least two per set.
 
At the net, Griffith has a team-best 36 total blocks while Mya Afflerbach is right behind with 35.
 
The Storm first square off with Harding who enters the contest with a 10-7 record and a 6-3 mark in league play.

The Bisons are led by Ally Stoner on offense as she averages 2.92 kills per set, leading a group of six players who average at least two kills per set.
 
Sarah Morehead triggers the HU offense with 9.83 assists per set, while the defense is led by Kelli McKinnon's 43 total blocks as well as Emma Winiger's 4.25 digs per set.
 
ATU enters the weekend with a 14-4 mark overall and an 8-1 record in GAC play.
 
The Golden Suns are led by Tymber Riley who is averaging 3.19 kills per set, while Brianna Merkel is handing out 7.27 assists per set.
 
On defense, Madison Grantham leads the back row with 4.05 digs per set while Emily Ragsdale patrols the net to the tune of 50 total blocks.
