DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern enters the weekend ranked ninth in Super Region 3 but can make a case for a jump on Saturday when it takes on No. 5-ranked nationally and seventh-ranked regionally Ouachita Baptist at 1 p.m. on Nov. 6 in Arkadelphia, Ark.

The Savage Storm come into the weekend with a 7-2 record after a 34-14 win over Arkansas-Monticello and still have sights set on a playoff berth which would be the team's first since the 2004 season.

SE has orchestrated one of the biggest turnarounds in Division II this season with mix of solid play on both sides of the ball.

The Storm offense has averaged 34.9 ppg which rank fifth in the Great American Conference, while the defense is third in the league while allo9wing 23.0 ppg.

Daulton Hatley guides the offense and ranks among the league's best passers, averaging 257.6 yards per game with 20 touchdowns on the season while completing 67.2 percent of his passes.

He has spread the ball around as well, with 12 different players hauling in a catch, and 10 of them hauling in TD receptions, led by
Braxton Kincade's six scores.

Marquis Gray leads the way in yardage with 528 yards on 25 catches with three touchdowns, while his 21.1 yards per catch leads the GAC.

Katrell Blakely ranks among the best in the league in receptions with 56 going for 481 yards and one score, while Kincade has 470 on 37 grabs, with
Duce Pittman hauling in 27 catches for 327 yards and three TDs.

The ground game has featured a three-prong attack which is led by
CJ Shavers who has tallied 591 yards on 108 carries with a touchdown, while
Deundre Wheeler has scored 12 touchdowns on the ground on 74 carries with 369 yards.
Ryan Taylor rounds out the trio with 281 yards and three touchdowns on 64 carries.

The SE defense is paced by
Scooter Baker's 54 tackles while
Ja'Lon Freeman is right behind him with 50.

Maalik Hall checks in with 48 total stops but has racked up 10.5 tackles for loss, including a team-leading 5.0 sacks, while Freeman has added seven TFL and a sack as well.

Jush Mulumba and
Jaylen Shaw have each snagged a pair of interceptions, while Mulumba's seven passes defended leads the team, with
Ke'Shawn Somerville and
Jeremiah Baltrip next in line with six breakups.

Ouachita Baptist comes into the weekend with an 8-1 record and is coming off a 43-28 win over East Central that saw OBU score 20-points in the fourth quarter to come back from a 28-23 deficit through three quarters.

The Tigers do almost all of their damage on offense through the ground game where they are averaging 299.3 yards per game across from 94.8 ypg through the air.

The rushing attack is led by TJ Cole who has piled up 1,320 yards and 14 touchdowns on 193 carries, while Kendel Givens has a league-leading 20 rushing touchdowns on 11 totes with 627 yards.

Grant Allen handles the duties when they do opt to pass, connecting on 59.6 percent of his passes for 763 yards and four touchdowns.

Connor Flannigan leads the receiving corps with 215 yards on 20 catches with a touchdown.

The defense is led by Terrell Gibson's 47 tackles, while Anthony Freeman has added 12 tackles for loss, including 6.5 sacks.
