Dworsky Earns GAC Weekly Award

DURANT, Okla. – Following his performance last week in leading Southeastern to a 2-1 record and becoming the Great American Conference's career leader in assists, Adam Dworsky has been named GAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week.
 
Dworsky, a 5-11 senior from Flower Mound, Texas, averaged 21.3 ppg over three contests while dishing out 9.0 assists per game and hauling in 6.0 rebounds per contest.
 
He opened the week with his second-30-point outing of the season, dropping 35 points in a one-point, double-overtime loss at East Central. In that contest he connected on five threes, dished out seven assists, and played all 50 minutes.
 
In Monday night's contest he also became the all-time career leader in assists for the GAC, surpassing the previous mark of 590 and has since passed 600 career dimes. Dworsky now owns or is tied for the single game, single season, and career assists marks at both the school and the conference level.
 
He followed up with 12 points, seven rebounds, and nine assists in a road win over Southern Nazarene, again playing all 40 minutes.
 
Dworsky closed out the week with a double-double effort with 17 points and 11 assists, his third double-double of the season, and added six rebounds.
