DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine
Scott Willman has announced the addition of
Jessica Hafner as the department's second full time athletic trainer.

Hafner makes the transition to full time after joining the department as a graduate assistant in August.

She becomes the first woman to hold a full time position in sports medicine as the department expands to include a second full time athletic trainer.

In her brief time as a graduate assistant with the Savage Storm she has worked directly with multiple sports, including football and both men's and women's basketball.

Hafner comes to Southeastern after earning a B.S. in Athletic Training at Saginaw Valley State in University Center, Mich., where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and was the 2019 Faculty Association Endowed Scholarship award winner.

She is a member of the National Athletic Training Association and holds her Athletic Training Board Certification. She is licensed in the state of Oklahoma and also carries certifications from the American Heart Association in first aid and basic life support.

Hafner is a native of St. John's, Mich., and is working towards a master's degree in Sport Administration at Southeastern.
