DURANT, Okla. –
Seth Morrow and
Colton Buckner each homered and drove in four runs as Southeastern piled up 12 hits as a team en route to a 16-1 run-rule win in seven innings over Southern Nazarene in the series opener on Friday at Mike Metheny Field.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 4-3 overall on the season ad 1-3 in Great American Conference play with the final two games in the series slated for a noon double-header on Saturday.

Morrow finished the game 3-for-4 with a homer, four RBI and three runs scored to lead all hitters, while Buckner was just 1-for-4 t the plate with a homer, but finished with four RBI.

Slayde Ortiz connected on a pair of hits and drove in three, while
Joseph Ramirez and
Rylee Holmes each added a pair of RBI.

Matt Miles,
Richard Ware,
Blake McQuain, and
Reid Rice each added a hit, while Miles tacked on an RBI.

Jacob Potter got the start and collected his first complete game victory of the season, allowing a run on four hits with five strikeouts over 7.0 innings of work.

SNU got on the board first, cashing in a leadoff double with a sac fly to take a 1-0 lead.

The Savage Storm would respond in the bottom half with a Ware double followed by a Morrow RBI single to tie the game at 1-1.

SE would explode in the bottom of the second inning, sending 12 batters to the plate.

A Holmes two-run double would give the Storm a 3-1 lead, and two batters later Miles would drive in Holmes to push the lead to 4-1.

Herd would come home on a Morrow fielder's choice and a batter later Miles would score on a Buckner fielder's choice for a 6-1 lead.

After SNU changed pitcher's, Ramirez would bring home Morrow on a sac fly, while Ortiz would close out the scoring with a two-run single through the right side that plated Rice and Buckner for a 9-1 lead after two innings.

One inning later in the third, Morrow would connect on his second homer of the season, a two-run shot that brought home Miles to push the Storm lead to 11-1 after three innings.

Buckner would tack on his second long ball of the season two innings later with a three-run blast that opened up the lead to 14-1.

An Ortiz single later in the fifth would score Rice and stretch the lead to 15-1 after five.

A Ramirez sac fly would bring home McQuain to tack on another run in the bottom of the sixth to stretch the lead to 16-1 which would hold up as the final score in seven innings.
