DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern put on an offensive show on Saturday, collecting 24 runs on 28 hits over two games in a Saturday sweep of Southern Nazarene, winning game one 13-3 in seven innings before taking the finale 11-5 at Mike Metheny Field.

The Saturday sweep also polishes off a sweep of the weekend series, bringing the Savage Storm record to 6-3 on the season overall and 3-3 in Great American Conference play.

Seth Morrow turned in a 4-for-4 effort in game one, with a homer, a double, and three RBI.
Â
Reid Rice added a trio of hits with a double and two RBI, while
Matt Miles and
Richard Ware each added two hits.
Â
Ware connected on the first grand slam of the season and finished with four RBI, while Rice drove in two and Miles plated one.
Â
Tyler Dean got the start and tossed 6.0 innings to pick up the win, allowing a run on four hits with two strikeouts.

Logan Teske would toss the final inning, allowing a pair of unearned runs on two walks before getting out of the inning.

SE jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first as a Buckner sac fly plated Miles and was followed by an RBI single by Rice to score Morrow.

The Storm picked up the pace in the second inning, loading the bases for Ware who connected on the team's first grand slam of the year and stretching the lead to 6-0.

Morrow would single a batter later, steal second and score on a Rice double to left center to move the lead to 7-0.

Morrow would do the driving two innings later with a two-run homer to right and bringing home Ware, stretching the lead to 9-0.

A Miles RBI double would get the lead to 10-0 early in the fifth inning but the Storm offense was not finished.

A Morrow single would drive in Miles to reach 11-0 before a Buckner two-run blast to left center lifted the lead to 13-0 after five.

SNU would get a run back on a solo homer in the top of the sixth, closing to 13-1.

The Crimson Storm would tack on two unearned runs in the seventh, but SE would hold on for the 13-3 run-rule win.

Morrow and Buckner each collected a trio of hits, with Buckner finishing a double short of the cycle.

Morrow would plate four runs, while Buckner drove in two.

Miles,
Richard Ware, Rice,
Bryce McDermott,
Blake McQuain, Heyden evans, and Herd would each collect hits in the series finale.

Mile and Rice would add an RBI each.

Mason Whitmarsh would collect his second win of the season after tossing 5.0 innings and allowing four runs, two of them earned, on six hits with six strikeouts.

Jacob Bigham would come in and toss the final two innings to earn his first save of the year, allowing a run on two hits with two K's.

SNU opened the finale with a leadoff homer, but Miles would answer in the bottom half with a solo shot to lead off for the Storm and Buckner would give SE the lead with a homer to left three batters later.

The Crimson Storm would have an answer in the top of the second, taking advantage of an SE error and connecting on a two-run homer to retake the lead at 3-2 midway through the second.

That deficit was short-lived however as a pair of walks by Miles and Ware led off the third inning before Morrow doubled-home Miles and an error while relaying the ball in allowed Ware to come home as well, giving SE the lead back at 4-3.

A batter later Buckner tripled home Morrow and finally Rice would drive in Buckner to take a 6-3 advantage after three innings.

Morrow would drive in another run in the bottom of the fourth to make it 7-3, but SNU would creep back in, picking up a run in the fifth and the sixth to make it 7-5 midway through the sixth inning.

SE would bring home a run on a wild pitch before Morrow drove in two more and then scored himself on another wild pitch in the bottom of the sixth and when the dust settled on the inning, the Storm had tacked on four runs to take an 11-5 lead which would hold up as the final score.
