The win improves the Savage Storm to 9-9 overall on the season and 2-2 in MIAA South Division play heading into the MIAA Men's Tennis Tournament slated for May 1-2 in Edmond, Okla.

SE clawed its way to an early 1-0 lead by winning the doubles point.

That started with a 6-3 win by
Thabo Ncube and
Guilherme Dos Santos at the one position.

The No. 20 ranked pair of
George Botha and
Marin Jurkovic gutted out a 7-5 win at number one doubles to clinch the point while
Juan Scoppetta and
Manuel Pilotto would follow with an equally narrow 7-6 win at number two.

OBU would tie the match with the only straight-sets win in singles play at number four.

However, the Storm would bounce back as No. 15 ranked Scoppetta would rally for a 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 win at the one positon to regain a 2-1 lead.

Dos Santos, ranked No. 45 in singles play, followed suit with his own come-from-behind win of 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 at number two.

Pilotto would provide the finisher at number three, taking set one 7-6 before falling in set two 6-7, but ultimately picking up the 6-4 win in the third set to clinch the 4-1 win in the match.
