SE Checks In with Ja'Lon Freeman

DURANT, Okla. – In Monday's latest release of SE Check In presented by First Texoma National Bank, Southeastern football player Ja'Lon Freeman joins Seth Dutton to talk about coming from Cedar Hill, Texas, to play for the Savage Storm as well as taking on the adjustments to the 2020 football seasons.

Freeman, a junior safety from Cedar Hill, Texas, came to Southeastern in 2017 and after serving a redshirt season has been a mainstay on the field, playing in 21 in 2018 and 2019, starting all 11 of the games he played in 2019.

He was fourth on the team in tackles in 2019 with 57 and accounted for five pass breakups.

Freeman went on to earn Academic All-Great American Conference honors that season and was most recently named SE's Defensive Player of the Year in football as the team adjusted to a non-traditional spring schedule after not playing in the fall.
