DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will waste little time recovering from its weekend road trip to Texas before embarking on a road swing in the opposite direction to open Great American Conference play at Northwestern Oklahoma State in Alva, Okla., on Sept. 14 at 6 p.m. before making a stop in Lawton, Okla., on Sept. 15 for a non-conference matchup against Cameron at 5:30 p.m.

The Savage Storm opened the season 2-4 with matching 1-2 record over its first two weekends, most recently closing out a trip to Tyler, Texas, with a 301 win over West Alabama.

SE had a pair of All-Tournament honorees at the Dakotas Patriot Classic as
Ruthie Forson earned her second-straight tournament honor while Carolin Griffith added a selection at UT-Tyler.

Forson's weekend was highlighted by her first triple-double of the season after she posted 14 kills, 41 assists, and 19 digs in the 3-1 win over West Alabama. For the weekend she would average 2.45 kills per set, 7.82 assists per set and 4.09 digs per set.

Griffith averaged 1.45 kills per set for the weekend on offense, including a 10-kill effort versus UWA, while adding five blocks overall across three matches.

Skylor Lewis leads the offensive attack for the season with 3.57 kills per set while also boasting a team-best 11 service aces, while Forson, Griffith,
Jessie Steele,
Jadyn James, and
Mya Afflerbach are all averaging 1.3 kps per set or better.

Forson is averaging 8.83 assists per set to power the offense while also added 3.26 digs per set on the defensive side of the net.

Grace Shehadeh continues to lead the defensive effort across the back row with 5.09 digs per set, while Griffith's 10 total; blocks leads the way for the Storm at the net.

NWOSU heads into the GAC opener with a 1-8 record overall on the season and coming off a 1-3 weekend trip to Pittsburg State's Tournament in Pittsburg, Kan.

The Ranger offense is led by Addison Wimmer who is putting up 3.52 kills per set while Abby Davis leads the setters with 4.88 assists per set.

Defensively, Tarra Parks is posting 3.21 digs per set on the seasons while Carmae Jones has a team-high 18 total blocks.

CU also enters the week 1-8 and are in the midst of a seven-game losing skid.

Alanni Carter leads the way for the Aggies with 2.55 kills per set, with Noemie Narbonne dishing out a team-best 4.00 assists per set.

On defense, Sydney Bolin averages a team-leading 2.33 digs per set with Jessica Lipkit's 24 total blocks leading the way at the net.
