WEATHERFORD, Okla. –
D'Nari Mills and
Avynn La Rose led the Southeastern offense but saw its efforts come up short in a 3-0 road loss to Southwestern Oklahoma State on Tuesday night in Weatherford, Okla.

The loss drops the Savage Storm to 4-22 overall and 1-13 in Great American Conference play as they are set to return home to take on Southern Nazarene at 7 p.m. on Oct. 27 in Bloomer Sullivan Gymnasium.

Mills and La Rose each posted seven kills to lead the offense, while
Ruthie Forson,
Jessica Hardin, and
Jadyn James each turned in six kills in the effort.

McKenzie Turkoly led the way setting with 12 assists while Forson wads right behind with 10.

Faith Krubbe led the back row defense with 10 digs, while Hardin added eight.

At the net,
Michera Moffett, La Rose, Forson, and James each posted two blocks.

SE found itself playing catchup for the entire first set after falling behind 4-0 on the way to a 25-19 loss in the set.

The Storm would take the early lead in set two, jumping out to a 9-3 lead out of the gate. SWOSU would use a 6-1 run to knot the match and would score eight of the final 11 points to hand Southeastern a 25-20 loss in the set.

The third set was even from the start until a 6-1 SWOSU run would give the Bulldogs an advantage which they would carry on to a 25-18 win in the clinching set.
