SE Football Places 11 on All-GAC Team

DURANT, Okla. – Daulton Hatley, Marquis Gray, DeJante Granger, and Maalik Hall were named first team All-Great American Conference selections on Wednesday, highlighting a total of 11 Southeastern players garnering all-conference recognition.
 
Hatley, Gray, Granger, and Hall were tabbed first team picks, while James Walker, Cameron Tate, and Kaleb Whitley were each named second-team honorees.
 
DeUndre Wheeler, Braxton Kincade, Stephane Zabie, and Alexce Marshall each earned honorable mention honors.
 
Hatley, a native of Clovis, N.M., turned in his second-straight 3,000-yard passing season, hitting 64.6 percent of his passes for 3,063 yards and a new-school-record 29 passing touchdowns.
 
In 2022 he also became the career leader in passing completions with 637 and passing touchdowns with 68. He has also climbed into second place on the Storm's All-Time passing yardage list with 7,885 and is less than 100 yards from the top spot.
 
Gray, a native of Tyler, Texas, has been not only the top receiver in the GAC but also among the best in the nation as he has racked up 1,279 yards receiving, setting a new Southeastern single season record, while also breaking the school record for touchdowns in a season with 17.
 
Granger, a native of Beaumont, Texas, played both guard and tackle this season as he helped pave the way for over 4,500 yards of total offense, including protecting for a passing attack that tallied 3,000 yards.
 
Hall, a native of Athens, Texas, continued to be one of the most disruptive defensive players in the GAC this season, finishing eighth in the conference in tackles overall with 76 over 10 games, but led the league with eight sacks on the season and tacked on 11.5 tackles for loss.
 
Walker, a native of Red Oak, Texas, picked up second team honors this season despite missing time due to injury as he too as he helped pave the way for over 4,500 yards of total offense, including protecting for a passing attack that tallied 3,000 yards.
 
Tate, a native of Forney, Texas, came on strong this season with 58 total tackles and was second on the team with four sacks and eight tackles for loss. He posted a pair of 10-tackle outings on the season and forced two fumbles and added four QB hurries.
 
Whitley, a native of Mansfield, Texas, earned his second team honor as a return specialist after averaging 30.3 yards per kick return and posting a 96-yard kick return for a touchdown this season, the longest return in the league this year.
 
Wheeler, a native of Winona, Texas, posted 724 yards on 138 carries across nine games this season, with his 12 rushing scores ranking fourth in the league in that category. He would finish four of his nine games with 100-pluys yards rushing and had rushing TDs in seven of the nine.
 
Kincade, a native of Winona, Texas, has collected 333 yards receiving on the season on 34 total catches with two touchdowns. He has already moved into fifth place on Southeastern's all-time receiving yardage list and is just 10 yards behind Pete Pratt's fourth-place mark.
 
Zabie, a native of Austin, Texas, earned honorable mention honors in his first season with the Storm after helping pave the way for over 4,500 yards of total offense, including protecting for a passing attack that tallied 3,000 yards.
 
Marshall, a native of Houston, Texas, was Southeastern's top tackling defensive lineman after collecting 47 stops on the year, including 7.5 tackles for loss and adding a team-best nine QB hurries.
