Brzovic Earns GAC Weekly Award

DURANT, Okla. – Following his performance in three Southeastern wins last week, Ante Brzovic has been named Great American Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week.
 
The 6-9 freshman from Zagreb, Croatia averaged a double-double on his way to his second GAC Player of the Week honor this season, putting up 17.3 ppg while pulling down 14.3 rebounds.
 
Brzovic shot 51.5 percent from the field on the week and hit 50.0 percent form beyond the arc, while also handing out five assists and blocking three shots.
 
He posted 19 points and eight boards in a Thursday night win over Henderson State before turning in one of his biggest stat games of the season on Saturday against Ouachita Baptist where he dropped 20 points and matched a conference-high 19 rebounds.
 
He would close out a stretch of three games over four days by putting up 13 points and 16 rebounds in Southeastern's Sunday afternoon win over East Central.
